Description
Make this creamy, fruity Strawberry Dole Whip in 5 minutes with just 4 ingredients—perfect for a summer treat.
Ingredients
2 cups (280g) frozen strawberries
1/2 cup (120g) canned coconut milk or any milk of choice
1/8 tsp salt
1 1/2 tbsp (30g) sweetener of choice, optional (such as maple syrup, agave, or a low-carb alternative)
Instructions
Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender or food processor. Combine the frozen strawberries, your choice of milk, salt, and sweetener (if using). It helps if your strawberries are slightly thawed for easier blending.
Blend until smooth and creamy. Start on a low speed and gradually increase as the mixture starts to come together. Use a tamper if needed, or pause to scrape down the sides.
Adjust the texture. If the mixture is too thick, add a tablespoon or two more milk to help blend it smoothly. It should be thick enough to resemble soft serve but smooth enough to pipe or scoop.
Serve immediately. For that iconic Dole Whip swirl, transfer the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a star tip and pipe it into bowls or cones. Alternatively, scoop it with an ice cream scoop for a casual, rustic look.
Notes
While strawberries are the star here, this recipe is wonderfully adaptable.
Swap the strawberries for other frozen fruits like mango, pineapple, raspberries, or a mix for a tropical medley.
For added creaminess, throw in half a frozen banana.
Want to boost the nutrition? Add a scoop of plant-based protein powder or a handful of spinach for a nutrient-rich twist.
If you’re watching your sugar intake, opt for a sugar-free sweetener or skip the added sweetener altogether if your fruit is naturally sweet.
You can also use almond, oat, or soy milk for a nut-free or allergy-friendly version.
