  • 6 cups Captain Crunch cereal

  • 1 cup creamy Reese’s peanut butter

  • 4 cups mini marshmallows

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • Optional: 1/2 cup Reese’s mini peanut butter cups

  • Optional: Chocolate chips or melted chocolate for topping


Instructions

  • Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add mini marshmallows and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth (about 4-5 minutes).

  • Remove from heat and stir in the creamy Reese’s peanut butter until smooth and combined.

  • Pour Captain Crunch cereal into a large bowl. Pour the peanut butter and marshmallow mixture over it and fold gently until evenly coated.

  • If using, fold in mini Reese’s peanut butter cups or chocolate chips now.

  • Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the prepared pan using a spatula or lightly greased hands.

  • Let the bars cool at room temperature for 1-2 hours, or refrigerate for 30-40 minutes to set faster.

 

  • Once set, cut into squares or rectangles and serve.

Melt marshmallows on medium heat to prevent burning.
