Peanut Butter Frosty: A Creamy, Healthy Treat to Sip Guilt-Free

  • Author: Elisa
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 12 servings 1x

Description

This Peanut Butter Frosty is a thick, creamy, and healthy twist on the classic fast-food treat. Made with frozen bananas, natural peanut butter, and your choice of milk, it’s a clean dessert or post-workout shake you can enjoy guilt-free.

Ingredients

Scale

2 medium ripe bananas, peeled, chopped, and frozen
2 tablespoons natural peanut butter (unsweetened)
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon salt (optional)
½ cup milk of choice (almond, oat, soy, or dairy)
12 teaspoons maple syrup or sweetener of choice (optional)

Instructions

  • Freeze bananas in advance: peel, chop, and lay in a single layer to avoid clumping.

  • Add frozen bananas to a high-speed blender or food processor.

  • Add peanut butter, vanilla, salt, and ¼ cup of milk. Blend until smooth.

  • Add more milk 1 tablespoon at a time until the mixture is thick and creamy.

  • Taste and adjust sweetness with maple syrup if needed.

  • Scoop into a chilled glass or bowl. Serve immediately with a spoon or straw

Notes

Use ripe bananas for the best sweetness and a smooth texture.

Chilling your milk and peanut butter helps maintain the frosty consistency.

You can add a tablespoon of cocoa powder to make it taste like a peanut butter cup.

For extra protein, blend in a scoop of your favorite protein powder.

If you want to prepare ahead, freeze the frosty in silicone trays and re-blend with a splash of milk when ready to serve.

Avoid over-sweetening—taste before adding syrup or sweetener.
