Description
Try these ground beef recipes with croissants for cheesy, flaky, fast dinners everyone will love.
Ingredients
1 pound (450g) medium ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or Cheez Whiz
2 tubes refrigerated croissant dough (8 rolls per tube)
1 tablespoon olive oil or butter (for sautéing)
Optional: cooked fries, jalapeños, or diced bell peppers
1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil or butter over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned, about 7–9 minutes.
Season the beef with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix in shredded cheese or spoon in Cheez Whiz. Stir until fully melted and combined. Remove from heat.
Unroll the croissant dough and separate into triangles.
Place a spoonful of beef mixture on the wide end of each triangle. Add a few fries or extra toppings if desired.
Roll up each triangle starting at the wide end, tucking in the sides slightly to prevent leaking.
Place rolls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them out.
Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush over the tops of each roll for a golden finish.
Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the croissants are puffed and golden brown.
Notes
Using hot filling: Let the beef cool slightly before adding to the dough to avoid tearing.
Skipping the egg wash: It not only helps with browning but adds flavor and seals the dough.
Overstuffing: This can cause the rolls to burst open in the oven.
Undercooking: Make sure the croissants are deeply golden for the best texture.
