These Big Mac Sloppy Joes deliver all the flavor of a McDonald’s Big Mac in a comforting one-pan dinner. With seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, tangy pickles, and a creamy homemade secret sauce, this easy meal is perfect for busy weeknights, game day, or casual family dinners. Serve on toasted buns, wraps, or even chapati!
Ingredients
For the Sloppy Joes:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
1 small onion, finely chopped
½ cup dill pickles, chopped
¾ cup cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1 tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Salt and pepper, to taste
Burger buns or rolls, for serving
Optional: shredded lettuce, sesame seeds (for garnish)
For the Secret Sauce:
½ cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons French dressing
1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish
1 teaspoon white vinegar
½ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sugar
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together all secret sauce ingredients. Chill until ready to use.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned and soft. Drain excess fat.
Stir in chopped pickles, mustard, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Reduce heat, stir in cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
Add half the prepared secret sauce to the skillet and mix well.
Toast buns if desired. Spoon beef mixture onto bottom halves, top with lettuce, drizzle with extra sauce, and finish with sesame seeds.
Serve immediately with favorite sides.
Notes
Use real mayo for the best secret sauce.
Sauce can be made up to 5 days in advance.
Skip cheese or substitute dairy-free if needed.
